Hope you are all having a good start to
the summer!!
I don't know about you, but May certainly zoomed by here in western Kentucky. The curise-ins are in full swing as well as the area car shows. We took the 'ol Lemans to Bob's Drive In and passed out Krooze fliers and received a great deal of interest from those in attendance.
June 4-6, the River Tin Car Club held their annual car show on the river front in Paducah. They always bring in lots of cars and many fliers were handed out and also had the opportunity to talk about the show and many said they do not want to miss it!!
June 12 was the Cadiz Cruise-in hosted by the Downtown Merchants Association. A good number of cars were present as well as many spectators. Again, fliers were passed out and even had some people take fliers to have available in their stores.

Memorial Day Events
Kevin was honored at two different Memorial Day events. Near Marion, Kentucky a new "memorial walk" has been created for those that have served this nation. A young man who has been working on the walk, informed me that a brick with Kevin's name on it had been purchased and would be dedicated on Saturday, May 29. Many attended the wonderful but a little emotional ceremony.
On Monday, Memorial Day, Mike Miller County Park held their annual day of remembrance and Kevin was again honored. His name is now engraved on the Memorial Wall with so many others who gave the ultimate sacrifice. There are also bricks honoring those who have served and Kevin and his dad's bricks were placed side by side.
A "Wish List" of items that we would like to collect to send to our deployed soldiers is available at kevinskrooze.com and click on wish list or go to http://kevinskrooze.com/soldiers_wish_list.html

Places to stay near the Krooze
We highly recommend checking out ourArea Link Pagefor places to stay if you are coming from a distance.
If you are interested in staying near Kentucky Lake, there are many resorts to choose from in the area but call soon since this is a touristy area.
There is one motel about 1/2 mile from the park and other motels in Calvert City which is about a 10-15 minute drive and in Murry which is about a 30 minute ride.
If you need help finding a place to stay, please call and I will try to see what is available.
So, Did you guess who our surprise
guest will be at the Krooze?????
Maybe one more hint my help. The last hint was that he was born in Tupelo and this months hint: His middle name is Aaron and he was born on January 8, 1935. (Actually it will be someone who looks and sings just like him.)
Closing Thoughts
As we plan Kevin's Krooze, we continually think of our service members stationed here and deployed to many areas around the world. How thankful we are to live in a country that stands for freedom and for the young men and women who take the oath to serve our nation knowing the dangers before them. We are especially thankful for the Fisher family and their vision of providing a home away from home for the families of our wounded service members. It is our vision to be an encouragement to those families during a time when their lives are forever changed. Thank you for partnering with us.
